Q4 2024

Q4 2024

We’ve got a really special line up for our first official box and I’m so excited for you to dive in.

The Wines:
Chillable Red: Autour de L’Anne "Les États d’Anne" (France) 2021
Light on the alcohol but heavy on style. Cinsault and Grenache grapes hand-harvested in the Languedoc-Roussillon region by Anne herself and naturally fermented with wild yeasts. After surviving a serious car accident, Anne quit her job in corporate finance and decided she would make wine instead. She clearly has a gift and I keep returning to her wines again and again.

Chillable Red: Domaine Bibich "CRNO" (Croatia) 2021
When Filip went to bottle this handpicked Syrah, there was a major power outage in Coastal Croatia, leaving him to finish the job in darkness. Crno literally means “black” in Croatian and here the peppery, dark fruit definitely lingers on into the night. Dim the lights when you open this one.

Bubbles: Domaine du Facteur Vouvray (France) 2020
100% Chenin Blanc from 90 year old vines. Elegant, lemony, and with just a hint of toasty
goodness. Fine, persistent bubbles that can’t stop, won’t stop. Save for date night or just
celebrate making it through the work week in style.

The Vinyl:
Mulatu Astatke “Mulatu of Ethiopia” (Worthy/Strut) 1972
Dramatically weaving together the Ethiopian five note scale and the American soul jazz of the early 1970s, Mulatu created a bubbling cauldron of groove that forever changed the face of music. With original pressings trading for upwards of $1000, this one is highly coveted by collectors and enthusiasts alike. Give it a chance to expand your mind and you’ll find yourself transported to a smoke-filled, dimly lit jazz club in Marrakesh and you won’t want to leave.
